Many visitors to InfoComm 2018 in Las Vegas last week were seeking ways to respond to a major transformation of their workplaces, according to exhibitors NFS Technology.

The NFS team was busy at the AV/IT show – the biggest of its kind in North America – helping visitors discover the latest mobile developments.

Workspace scheduling software specialists NFS were working with digital visual communication experts ONELAN to demonstrate the benefits of technology including mobile apps and room scheduling.

Visitors – who included Google – saw how Rendezvous Workspace, one of the world’s leading meeting room and resource scheduling systems, can help organizations utilize their valuable space better – improving employee productivity and wellbeing.

Luis De Souza, CEO of NFS Technology, said: “Many corporate visitors to our booth said their workplaces were feeling the effects of the transformation to more flexible working.

“Our team was very busy answering their questions about maximizing the use of their workspace. We found that our visitors were most interested in the advanced scheduling aspects of Rendezvous Workspace such as its ability to make catering and AV/IT requests simple, its mobile tracker and QuickBook.

“I’m finding that many companies who currently use only Outlook to schedule meetings really don’t know what they are missing.

“Where tools such as Microsoft Exchange are insufficient, Rendezvous Workspace enables organizations to efficiently manage meeting rooms, desks, parking, visitor management and services such as catering, AV, IT and video conferencing.”

The Rendezvous mobile solution-set is designed to fully support NFS clients on their journey into a more Shared Workspace.

“Our new generation of multiplatform mobile apps offer the user a great experience to locate and book the right space from anywhere,” said De Souza.

“Whether your smart device uses our user-friendly Apps support QR/Bar code scanning for easy check-in/checkout functionality.”

De Souza expects the trend towards using technology to support flexible working practices, productivity and wellbeing in the workplace will continue.

“A mobile workforce needs mobile solutions,” he said. “Before the show we were confident that interest would be high in our new multi-platform mobile apps, which allow remote employees to locate and book the meeting space and desks they need quickly – even across time zones. That proved to be the case.”

Rendezvous Workspace scheduling software – which integrates seamlessly with Outlook – is used by leading law firms and major corporations in more than 25 countries for booking meeting rooms and conferences, along with video conferencing management.

ONELAN’s Reserva Room Signage range integrates with Rendezvous to display information for meetings scheduled in Workspace, while also providing an interface to book a meeting directly from the display.

“It was our privilege to share a booth with our partners ONELAN – their digital signage products are a perfect complement to Rendezvous Workspace,” said De Souza.

“InfoComm has been a great opportunity for enlightening visitors on just how robust and useful scheduling can be.”
