Kennedys is a global law firm renowned for litigation/dispute resolution and advisory services, recently included in The Legal 500 UK 2024. It has also achieved one of the best ratios of staff to desk space in the legal market – read on to find out why.

Providing excellent customer service and facilities for its busy team is naturally a priority – and when updating facilities at its new London HQ, Kennedys turned to NFS Technology for a solution.

The firm asked NFS to design and deploy a desk and room booking solution that allows staff to find and reserve the space they need easily using a kiosk and other self-service options including mobile and browser applications.

Kennedys also needed users to be able to check in and out of the booked space, providing clear and precise information on how valuable real estate is being utilised to support space planning decisions.

Andrew Alderson, Chief Facilities Management Officer of Kennedys, said his team now have the Rendezvous Workplace platform at their fingertips.

He said: “We worked with NFS to create an end-to-end experience for staff, from booking space before arrival to space/colleague location through a mobile app and kiosk.”

The firm is using the data captured by the platform to support decisions on how their workspace is configured.

“The digital signage at desk and room level with check in helps us to better understand space utilisation,” said Andrew. “We are now looking at how we measure actual space use through sensor technology.

“The NFS solution is being rolled out globally and feedback from staff has been very positive in terms of ease of use. NFS have worked hard with the Kennedys team to implement small changes to make the solution work well for us.”
